If you like ‘em big and briny, then this is the place that will treat you kindly. A very solid place where it seems all who work there can shuck. Rodney’s spawn, son Eamon and daughter, Bronwen are usually in attendance and will treat you right. Go forth and slurp!
We went several times to Rodney’s and met the man himself talking about his past, his PEI oyster farms, his past artistic life and we took home a massive 10 inch or so, shell of which my better half did a pastel portrait. The oyster was found off site at their PEI farm and named for Rodney’s father! We had lovely oysters from many East coast farms although they had West coast as well. It is a real oyster bar with a colorful local feel to it.
