British Columbia’s oyster industry is centered on the inside coast of Vancouver Island, where Denman Island protects from the open Strait of Georgia. It’s all Pacific oysters, farmed using one of two methods: Beach-grown, where the terrain exists, and suspended-grown in all the deep waters. See also Salish Sea Oysters
