Raised in floating bags near the famed “reversing falls” of Taunton Bay–a constriction in the outlet between the bay and the sea where the tide pours in and out twice per day–and finished on the gravelly bottom. Lots of current = lots of food. Near Acadia National Park, this is one of Maine’s northernmost oysters.

Finally got the name/location straight…I had these at 18 Below Restaurant in Waterville, ME a few weeks ago, they are a lovely oyster with a nice freshness and just slightly below the saltiness I prefer but all in all a very nice oyster.
