Northern Cross

A cross between Ballard Fish & Oyster Co’s Misty Point and Island Creek’s standard bivalve, Northern Cross is a Virginia-adapted oyster that retains the shape and color of its Island Creek forebears. Sold by Island Creek in northeastern markets. Grown by Ballard in off-bottom cages near Fisherman Island, right at the mouth of the Chesapeake.
