Exactly as previously described: big, plump, briny. What more could one ask? For those enjoying the “mouthfeel” of a “select” oyster, this is a good one. The other big boys I like, the Onset, the Cotuit, the Chatham, and the Glidden Point, are other big guys whose company I very much enjoy. All so good and slurpable. Shuck Slurp Love ❤️ 🦪❤️🦪

I meant to add that this is the MOST PERFECT oyster to have withOUT any accouterments.

Such a clean oyster with a beautifully moderate brine. I would say that this is a perfect oyster to introduce both the novice to oyster eating while satisfying the seasoned oyster fan. I’m very glad I picked up 50 of these for my birthday! (I have eaten 4/5 of them!)

Medium/Large sized shells, around 3.5”, very plump large oysters inside. Clean white oysters and some of the saltiest I’ve had yet. A similar look and taste to Wellfleets, but Katama are larger and a higher salinity.

I had some Katama Bay oysters yesterday on MV. Absolutely wonderful, tasty, and satisfying. These babies are best eaten without any additives, not even lemon. If you see these on the menu, don’t even think twice.

Big, really big and wonderfully briny, meaty and downright tasty! We had some last night at our Ithaca oyster bar & Cajon food place along with some less than wonderful, small, usually great Cape oysters.

Always profoundly, even alarmingly, salty. Big, too. These are all about cold, crisp beer.
